New to church or even NYC?

“I still remember the feeling when I first moved to New York and I was the new one in church. It felt exciting and terrifying all at once. As I sat in that chair by myself not knowing who I could or should talk to I told myself one thing, ‘I’m going to make sure that when someone new comes to this church or even this city they’ll know that they are not alone.” And my heart is still true to that. If you moved here and you’re not even sure about following Jesus but you just need a friend in your life, you’re in the right place! If you need someone to help you unpack your trailer, show you the ropes, or just listen over a cup of coffee, you’re not alone! I hope we get to meet and hear your story.”

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • Our faith is grounded in historic Christianity, shaped by the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds and centered on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We hold the Bible as our authoritative guide for belief and practice. As part of the Assemblies of God, we stand in the Pentecostal tradition, believing the Holy Spirit is active today in transforming lives and empowering people to love and serve others.

  • Freedom Church exists as an Assemblies of God church.

  • We are a Pentecostal church that values an authentic experience of the Holy Spirit, grounded in emotional health and spiritual maturity. We take Scripture seriously, believing that understanding the Bible and living it are inseparable. Our faith moves us outward—into service, generosity, and action for the good of others.
