Kid Zone is one of the ministries we’ve put our time, attention and detail into. We understand that creating a space for kids to encounter Jesus is no easy task, but we’re willing to do whatever is takes to Shape the Future to look more like Jesus. Kid Zone is all about creating an environment that is safe, fun, and spiritually impactful to kids 5th grade and under. Check out some of what you’re child will be able to experience!

Our Values

  • SAFE

    We value an environment that is physically, emotionally, and spiritually safe. We understand that if our space isn’t safe, your child won’t be able to grow. This is our first value and priority.

  • Fun

    We have a strict philosophy that everyone must be having fun. Genuine, real, exciting, fun! Part of our agenda is to make it impossible for your child to leave without having fun.

  • Spiritual Impact

    We design our routine and experience so everyone leaves understanding more about Jesus. We want your child equipped to powerfully understand what the Bible teaches, and we’re here to help!

Kid Zone Routine

  • Kids are welcomed with open play as they arrive, giving them time to settle in, make friends, and feel comfortable in the space. This helps ease transitions and creates a fun, relaxed start to the service.

  • We gather together to welcome everyone and open with a short, age-appropriate prayer. This sets the tone for the day and helps kids focus while feeling included and cared for.

  • Kids meet in small groups to build relationships with leaders and each other. This is a space for connection, conversation, and helping kids feel known.

  • We go over a few simple, clear rules to create a safe, respectful, and fun environment for everyone. Rules are shared positively so kids understand expectations and feel secure.

    The Rules: 1.) Stay in your seat, 2.) Hands and feet to yourself, 3.) No walking when someone else is talking 4.) Keep your name tag on at all times

  • Kids participate in energetic, age-appropriate worship songs that help them express joy and learn about God in a fun and engaging way. Movement and participation are encouraged, but never forced.

  • Announcements are short and kid-friendly, sharing what’s coming up and celebrating what God is doing. This helps kids feel part of something bigger. We also celebrate birthdays for anyone whose birth date falls in that month.

  • Each month, kids learn a Scripture verse together through repetition, motions, and creative engagement. This helps God’s Word stick in a way that’s meaningful and memorable. Each monthly scripture verse can be found on the Parent Cue App

  • A high-energy, silly game gets everyone laughing and moving. This builds excitement, teamwork, and joy—reminding kids that church is a fun place to be.

  • The Bible lesson is taught in a clear, interactive, and age-appropriate way. Stories are presented so kids can understand who God is, how much He loves them, and how faith connects to everyday life. The main idea and Bible story can be found on the Parent Cue App

  • After the lesson, kids return to small groups to talk about what they learned. Leaders help kids ask questions, process the story, and apply it to their own lives.

  • Throughout the Bible Lesson, kids listen for the “secret word.” The secret word is a person place or a thing. This encourages focus, participation, and excitement as they engage with the lesson.

  • As parents arrive, kids enjoy a calm, supervised game or activity while waiting to be picked up. This provides a smooth, fun transition and ends the service on a positive note.

YOUR ROLE AS THE PARENT

The most important spiritual influence in a child’s life is you! Our job is to equip you and set you up for success.  FAQs

  • No you do not need to register in advance. If there are specific accommodations please contact our team in advance so we can best prepare. You’re always welcome to arrive a few minutes early, our team will help you check in and answer any questions.

  • If your child needs you, our team will contact you right away by text message or pager. Your child’s comfort and well-being always come first.

  • Absolutely. Parents are welcome to visit the space, meet the team, and ask questions before checking their child in.

  • We want every child to feel welcomed and cared for. While we do not currently offer a dedicated sensory room or specialized accommodations, our Kid Zone team will do their best to work with families on an individual basis. We encourage parents to connect with us ahead of time so we can listen, communicate clearly, and support your child as thoughtfully as possible.

  • Kid Zone is available for Pre-K and Elementary-aged children. We create age-appropriate environments and activities so kids can learn, play, and grow in ways that fit their stage of development.

    We are hoping to expand this age range to younger ages soon.
